From what I just read, the silvers are pure bred, so how can you compare that to a labradoodle?? I guess that is a mix with a POS poodle??

I don't think the color matters!

Hogan-100+lb black lab came from a breeder off of Atmore Cut off.  Lexi- 65lb female came from a breeder in Breton,AL.

This is my yellow Sidney. She also came from the place up in Brewton. You can kind of see the same general shape. Dogs might be kin. Sidney's turning 8 next month. This picture is from when she was around 4. She's much more yellow now.

A labradoodle is a mutt, but people like poodles because they don't shed. So thats why you have everything mixed with poodles.

Here's another link about silver labs . They too are mutts--Weim mixed with a chocolate. Also, lots of inbreeding was going on to maintain the silver lab. Interesting read.

Big poodles are don't bother me. Now little poodles do. Have you ever seen a labradoodle. Mine is 7 mos old and bigger than my 10 yr old chocolate lab. So it is not like it is some tiny litte mutt.
Edit: If they do recognize it I don't believe it should be listed as a working dog, but as a designer or show dog.

Those are sure some fine looking Labs. I have 2 Black Boys. LugNut is 13  100# and Benny  is 18mo 70#. I do not ever want another 100# lab to hunt with.  Every time that big lab switched side in the boat I had to correct steering. Love him to death just too big. If I didn't duck hunt with them then it wouldn't matter how big they got. Why do they put vowels together on the keyboard I will never know.

THAT's GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason why folks like poodles are a couple......They don't shed, and they are considered a hypo-allergetic dog.  Poodles don't produce the dander that other dogs do.  That's why they like to mix them up w/ other dogs....

Wow. I like the looks of those Silver's. I may have to do some research on those. That may be my next dog. I wanted a weimreiner but everyone tells me they are hard headed and hyper.

And judging from what I have already read, the silvers are not a mix breed (lab/weimreiner).

I haven't read the literature on the silvers but almost every lab mix I've been around, (if that's what they are) wasn't the brightest candle in the box. I've seen a few exceptions but not very many. Maybe I just expected too much. JMO

Labs on the other hand are unbelievably smart. I'm kinda partial to yellows.

Yeah. But I am telling you, if you want a dog with personality, get a labradoodle. Mine is just oozing with personality. He has way more than any other of the lab's I have had. Great house and family dog. JMO
