Winds finally let up and snuck out for a couple hours today to fish the flats on the south side of Choctawhatchee Bay.  Fishing the sand pockets in the middle of large grassy areas, I was able to see reds roaming around and they readily ate pearl Bass Assassin blurps.  Single fish were running 20 to 30 lbs, while the three or four schools of fish I found all had perfect 26 inch slot fish.  Look for the birds, seagulls, pelicans and terns, diving on pilchards being pushed around by the reds.

Ended up with 3 fish 20 to 30, 5 fish 26 inches, numerous pulled hooks and one good time.

this boat is for sale, anyone interested?

Very nice Pat.  Been having that feeling that the reds are roaming the shallows after these cool nights.  Great .  Now that I have my tire trailer issue solved I will out there tomorrow myself.

Nice job Pat! Love that first pic. We had a 20 fish day on the south side of Choctawhatchee a few weeks ago. Nice to see them schooling.
